At Stephenson Farms, all of our KuneKune pigs are AKKPS registered. We consider ourselves a Preservation Breeder, and our primary focus is structurally sound pigs with easy to handle temperaments and correct conformation / breed type. Our KuneKunes are bred for hobby farms, pets, petting zoos, and other breeders. We prefer the traditional moderately sized slow growing KuneKunes as we find them more manageable, easier to handle, and easier on our facilities. We try to select breeding stock that is moderately sized and grows well on primarily forage focused diets. If you are looking for big fast growing pork production pigs, our KuneKunes are most likely not what you are looking for.

 

Our piglets are handled multiple times a day from birth to ensure they are very people oriented, friendly, and well socialized. We allow our sows to wean piglets as naturally and stress free as possible, this is usually around 10-16 weeks.

 

We do not send piglets to new homes before 10-12 weeks of age and we do not take deposits on piglets younger than 6-7 weeks for registered breeding stock. This not only allows our piglets ample time with the sow and their siblings to ensure they learn appropriate behaviors. But this also give us time to fully evaluate our piglets conformation and breed type before making any selections. KuneKunes physical traits can change so much between 4-16 weeks of age, so we prefer not making any selections until they are at least 7-8 weeks old to ensure we feel confident our selections fit what you are looking for. All of our pigs are raised on a diet of 16% hog feed from our local mill with 24/7 access to pasture or hay.

To hold a piglet we require a deposit of $100. We accept deposits via PayPal.

• 2 Year Health and Breeding Guarantee - for all registered piglets bred and sold by Stephenson Farms.

• Forever Home Guarantee - if you are no longer able to care for your pig at any point in their life, they will always have a home here.

• Care instructions which includes a 1 week supply of food and a second dose of de-wormer.
